Alexander Doniphan has one amazing PTA!  From fund raisers to support school activities to tail gate parties, conference dinners, book fairs, visiting authors and volunteering, we appreciate all PTA does to help make Doniphan a great school!  Thank you, parents, for all you do for us!

Mid-Continent Public library has initiated two different programs for the new year to get your families reading!
Alexander Doniphan library is adding an extra incentive if your family participates!

The first one is RAFT-Reading Aloud Family Time.  This program has families sharing chapter books together
and then reporting them to earn a fabulous hardback copy of the classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  It's
easy to sign up on line.  Families without computers can sign up at the library so pass the word.  Any AD family
who earns a book from MCPL needs to let Mrs. Arth know.  We will have a drawing in the library for a copy of the
sequel Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator.  Don't miss out on the fun.

The second program is called 6 in 12.  Basically you keep track of the books you read.  The goal is to read 6 books in 12
months.  The prize is an  ereader!

Winter Carnival - January 27
Parent/Teacher conferences - February 13 and 16
Valentine's Day parties - February 14
President's weekend holiday (no school) -  February 17 and 20
Spring Break - March 19-23
